Management and Information Technology (Master)

The Double Degree study program Management and Computer Science combines the fields of management, business information systems, and computer science with the advantages of studying abroad. The aim is to train interdisciplinary experts who can work at the intersection of Management, IT, and Computer Science and have a broad understanding of complex organizational processes.

Besides lecturing high-quality technical content, this program enhances social and personal competencies, interdisciplinary thinking skills, and the ability to work with intercultural teams and international organizations.

The study program is offered as a Double Degree in a consortium with four international partner universities - Kazakh-American Free University (KAFU), Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakstan; Armenian State University of Economics (ASUE), Erevan, Armenia; International Black Sea University (IBSU), Tbilisi, Georgia and Kyrgyz-German Institute of Applied Informatics (INAI.KG), Bishkek Kyrgyzstan. Therefore, students will study at the WHZ and one international partner university. In addition, this program offers two full degrees.

This program is especially for students who enjoy traveling and discovering new languages and cultures.

  • First university degree in the fields of Management, Business Administra-tion, International Relations, Language Science, Computer Science or related fields with at least 180 ECTS points
  • Required language skills for non-native speakers:
    • English B2
    • Language skills in German, Armenian, Georgian, Kazakh, Kyrgyz or Russian at least level A1
  • Interview for admissions may be required

Due to a wide variety of elective subjects and the interdisciplinary teaching content in Management, Business Information Systems, and Computer Science, students can achieve five program-specific qualification profiles. Therefore, by completing this Masters's program and choosing an individual learning path, students can achieve the following qualification profiles:

  • Business Allrounder: Working at the intersection of Management, IT, and Computer Sciences in business and public companies with a holistic view of organizational processes
  • IT/Project-Manager: Managing digitalization projects and working as Chief Information Officer
  • Software Engineer: Working on software projects, especially in intercultural teams
  • Data Analyst: Consulting the management as a data specialist
  • Scientific Assistant: Working in research and development projects; the degree enables a scientific career (doctorate)
